Et In Arcadia Ego! From The Outsider
Well, no not really. This parking Parthenon erected in honour of the motor car is not some Greek idyll but a real-life piece of auto-erectica in Cremorne – a suburb on Sydney’s lower north shore.
What makes it doubly strange is that you can just see the roof of the house to which it is attached. And the photo was taken from the main road in front of the house and not from round the back.
Road, driveway, car before house, front door, people. Carbon before car gone. Oh well! At least there’s room for only one coffin in the crypt.
