Australia Matters
Australia Matters - news ignored by the mainstream media

AustraliaMatters.com is owned and run by Australian born citizens, living in Australia, with genetic heritage from England and Ireland that believe in "Representative Government". "Representative Government"  is an old idea where the citizens elect the government, then the government "serves" the citizens, hence the term "public servants".

Australia Matters believes that Australia today has become a nation where the citizens now serve the government. A nation where police break into citizens homes and search private property. Of course, the big kick off from the "old world", into the "new world" was... drumroll... the September 11, 2001 attacks on America.

Yes, this is an Australian 9/11 conspiracy site and while there's lots more than just 9/11 it does tend to get bogged down in NWO and 'secret world government' stuff. This is the site's rationale in their own words:

Why The Site? Due to our lack of satisfaction from the Australian main stream media outlets (AMSMO) omitting many many news stories from Australia, we like to think of ourselves as a go between posting some of the "news" that they didn't! Those that own Australian media outlets like Rupert Murdoch want to "shape" your mind. A very important recent example of our AMSMO dissatisfaction, was the announcement from the former Italian President (for 7 years which is a feat in that country) Francesco Cossiga whom went public in Italy's largest newspaper supposedly spilling the beans on whom he believes really was behind the murders of 2,700+ people in America on September 11, 2001.

Imagine that, a man with such a huge public profile, in Italy's largest newspaper, making comments about an event that has since thrust our Australian government into "war on terror" (as if you can have a war on an ideal in the first place) ratcheting down and reversing our "innocent until proven guilty" society, with "guilty until proven innocent" nightmare, due to the kick off event, 911, and we didn't hear a single peep about his information here in the AMSMO?

This site is here to tell all our Australian friends, that AMSMO knew full well about that example, and many many more (found around our site) but choose not to tell you! Why? Because they want to "shape" the news you see. When they claim to be our "news" outlets, but deliberately disregard such an example, it's called lying by omission! Communist Russia under Stalin, Lenin etc practiced the same. Those that control the past, control the future.

Australia Matters is not a daily news site - they act as a filter for anything in the global media that fits their worldview (and thus of course ignored by AMSMO). To get your dose of conspiracy click View button below.

A blow to Citizen Journalism
7 dec  |

Labor MP James Bidgood is in trouble for taking a photograph and selling it to a newspaper chain in return for a donation of $1,000 to a charity of his choosing. Perhaps I have a tin ear, but what has he done wrong? Or is this an extension of the principles that have led to the Net Nanny State?

Was the taking of the photo what is said to be wrong? Or was it selling (what he calls "passing") the photos to Newscorp for a donation.

"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." -- Ronald Reagan (1986)
